    A night to celebrate agriculture in Durham Region!

    An evening to celebrate Durham’s agricultural roots! Those in the agriculture community are invited to come out and enjoy delicious food, entertainment, a silent and live auction and a chance to connect with friends in the community. The fourth annual Durham Farm Connections Celebrate Agriculture Gala will benefit agricultural awareness efforts in Durham Region.

    This year the evening will also celebrate all farm families in the Region who have been farming for at least 150 years in Canada and presently farm in Durham Region.

    This fantastic Grade 3 Annual event, now in its 11th year, is organized and hosted by the dedicated volunteers of the agriculture and education communities.

  • Farm Connections Open House

    cowsDurham Region residents are invited to attend the Farm Connections Open House.

    This interactive event provides attendees with an opportunity to learn about agriculture through various stations, including meeting with farmers and livestock; as well as learning about dairy, beef, pork, poultry, sheep, land stewardship, vegetables, apples and crops.

    Bring the whole family and learn about agriculture in Durham Region. Meet local farmers and their animals, learn about how crops are grown and where your food comes from.
    Live demonstrations will take place throughout the evening.

    Admission is free but donations non-perishable food item will be gratefully accepted on behalf of the local food bank

  • Smaller farms have flocks of 50-200 sheep.
  • Larger farms have 800-1200 sheep.
